No, simply take your Discount Prescription Card to a participating pharmacy and the pharmacist will register you at that time.

How do I find a participating pharmacy?

What if I change pharmacies?
Just bring your Discount Prescription Card to your new pharmacy. If you have lost it, you may print out a new FREE Discount Prescription Card.
Do I need more than one Discount Prescription Card for my family?
No. You may use one Discount Prescription Card for your entire family or if you prefer, you can print additional FREE Discount Prescription Cards by clicking on the link “Get Your FREE Rx Card” on our website.
What if I lose my Discount Prescription Card?
Simply print out a new FREE Discount Prescription Card for you and your family.
Is the Discount Prescription Card insurance?
No. The Discount Prescription Card is not insurance nor is it intended to replace insurance. If your prescriptions are covered by your health insurance, you may want to compare the cost of your prescriptions using your insurance and the Discount Prescription Card.
Can my health insurance prescription coverage be used together with the Discount Prescription Card?
Unfortunately, only one plan or program can be used when filling a prescription. However, if a prescription is not covered under a particular plan, then you may use the Discount Prescription Card to obtain a discount. You can also have the pharmacist price your prescription using your insurance plan and the Discount Prescription Card and then select the one which provides the lowest out-of-pocket cost to you. If you select to use the Discount Prescription Card, remember that you may need to submit receipts to your insurance company to ensure that the amount paid is applied to your deductible.
Are some drugs covered under the Discount Prescription Card that my health insurance prescription coverage does not cover?
Sometimes. In the event that your health insurance prescription plan does not provide a discount for a particular drug, it is likely that our Prescription Discount Card will provide a discount for that drug, as discounts on tens of thousands of prescription are available using our Discount Prescription Card.
How much can I save using the Discount Prescription Card?
You can save up to 65% on an individual prescription. Annual savings generally range from 20% to 40% although individuals and families may save more depending on the medications purchased. Remember that an entire family can use the Discount Prescription Card.
Are there limits on how often or how much I may use the Discount Prescription Card?
No, there are no limits. You and your family may use the Discount Prescription Card as often as needed. Family members include all dependents, including grandchildren.
Is there an expiration date for the Discount Prescription Card?
No, there is no expiration date.
Does everyone qualify to use the Discount Prescription Card?
Yes. There are no restrictions or exclusions and anyone over the age of 18 may use the Discount Prescription Card. A parent or guardian may obtain discounts on prescriptions for their dependents who are under the age of 18.
If I have health insurance plan with prescription benefits, can I use your Discount Prescription Card if the prescription is cheaper using your Discount Prescription Card than using my health insurance prescription plan?
Yes, however, if you have not yet reached your annual insurance deductible, it is most likely that you will want to use your insurance benefits. If you do use our Discount Prescription Card instead of your health insurance prescription plan, then you will most likely need to send a copy of the receipt to your insurance company to ensure that the amount paid is applied to your annual deductible. If you register the Discount Prescription Card with your pharmacy and it is the same pharmacy where your health prescription plan is registered, you will have to indicate which plan is being used for future prescription purchases.
What if I have a high deductible health insurance plan?
You may use the Discount Prescription Card to save on prescriptions until you reach the deductible amount. Remember, though, you may need to submit receipts to your insurance company to ensure that the amount paid is applied to your deductible.
What if I am a Medicare Part D participant?
Medicare Part D participants are usually age 65 and over. There is a hole in participant coverage that is called the “donut hole” and Medicare participants can pay up to $4,000 per year out of pocket. The Discount Prescription Card can help you save on your prescriptions in the “donut” phase.
